The flea collar was designed to reduce the
amount of flea bites your pets gets and when
they were first introduced in the 1960?s
they were quite popular with pet owners. As
time has passed, pets that have worn flea
collars have become prone to developing skin
irritations around the neck where the
collars sit. Also some research shows that
the effectiveness of the collar is mainly
around the top half of the pet and not so
effective on the lower half of the pet
meaning they are more likely to continue
being bitten by the fleas.
