Why waste your money on expensive flea treatments when the ideal product could be in your kitchen cupboard!

Why not give your dog a good old bath and shampoo make him/her feel loved and pampered. By using a mild shampoo you will get rid of some pesky fleas. Follow this up by drying you dog thoroughly using a towel or if you are in a hurry try using a hair dryer. Fleas do not like hair dryers so this will help fend off a few more unwanted fleas.

After your dogs coat is thoroughly dry comb your dog with a flea comb to remove any fleas that may still be hiding in your dog's coat. If you do remove any remaining fleas then put them straight into a bowl of soapy water and tip down the sink or flush down the toilet.

Garlic?
Yes the stuff you cook with (some of us love it and fleas hate it) believe it or not but garlic kills fleas. Try feeding a small amount each day for about a week to two weeks mixed in with their food and this will kill off any fleas that may be living on your dog.

Also with the garlic being in your dogs system it should help prevent your dog getting more fleas in the short term.

Neem Oil?

This is an Indian oil that can be used to kill or prevent fleas. Before covering your dog in this oil it is best to just test a small amount of your dogs fur just to make sure they do not become irritated by it.
