Why spend your hard earned money on expensive flea treatment when you will be able to use items that you have in your kitchen cupboards.

It works as fleas do not enjoy the smell of vinegar and this will make them leave, use this along with dish soap and you will have double the effectiveness as dish soap kills and removes the fleas from your pet. This treatment will work in treating the flea problem in the short term but it will not prevent from flea infestations in the future. If you have persistent problems with flea's then you may need to take your pet to visit the vet to get a course of treatment from them.

To treat your pet using vinegar then try the suggested tips below:

Find a large cup and fill this half full of dish soap, fill the top half of the cup with Apple cider vinegar.

Fill a bath tub with warm water and wet your pet's fur, until your pet is completely soaked.

Pour the cup of vinegar and dish soap that you have just made over as much of your pet as you can, making sure that it does not go in their eyes.

Rub your pet's fur making the solution into a foam and massage well making sure that the solution gets right down into your pets coat, once you are happy that your pet is fully washed then rinse of the solution using clean warm water.

Now you will need to wash your pets fur with animal shampoo, you need to do this as soap products can be hard on there skin so by washing with pet shampoo you will make sure that you are protecting there skin. Only use an approved pet shampoo.

Fill an empty spray bottle half full of vinegar fill the rest of the bottle with water give it a good shake so that the water and vinegar mix. Spray all of your pet's fur with this solution using your fingers to work the solution into your pet's coat. If your pet is scared of the spray bottle then you can apply the solution by dipping a comb or brush into the solution and then applying this to your pet's fur.

It is also safe to spray this solution onto your pet's bed as this will also help to keep the fleas away as they will not like the smell.

If you have tried this solution and your pet still has a large amount of flea's or keeps becoming infested with fleas then you will need to take your pet to see the vet as they will be able to treat this problem quickly and efficiently.
